Welcome to St. Agatha’s Church

St. Agatha’s Church holds a long history as a Catholic Community serving the Canastota and surrounding areas.  We extend a warm welcome to both long-time and new parishioners.  If you are new to the Parish, please take a few minutes to introduce yourself.

Threes for Jesus

Please help raise funds to install a basketball hoop at St. Agatha’s Catholic Church in Canastota NY. Father Kevin and Michael Clarke are also trying to organize some small youth basketball tournaments as well. Please help us by donating whatever you can to help provide a fun/safe outdoor activity to kids in the community. We are trying to raise $1000 to buy and install a hoop this Spring!

Alleluia! Jesus Christ has risen!

Throughout our lives, we all have to come to terms with death, whether it is physical, spiritual, emotional, or otherwise.  And we have the choice to live in bitterness, in prejudice that can blind us to the truth, in loneliness that can enfold us, in fear and sadness that can oppress us, but that is not where Jesus wants us to stay! Like Jesus, we too must leave the tomb!

During the Easter season, we have the opportunity to be like Chris in his love, forgiveness, and charity to others.  These next seven weeks, we will journey with Mary Magdalene, Peter, Thomas, & the disciples as they come to know resurrection faith and what it means to them. We will be rminded that our Christian faith does not rest on an empty tomb, but on our continuing experiences of the Risen Jesus in our lives.
